Turok 2 (1998)
The sequel to Turok, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil was released in 1998. It was created by Propaganda Games to continue the story of the previous game. The game uses the same engine as the first game, with the exception of the characters, textures and models. The game has a similar story to the first game, but some events have happened differently. The game features an improved and expanded level design. Players must destroy a dinosaur egg and hatch it in order to release a new breed of dinosaur; a process that can only be done by destroying the mother dinosaur.
The game achieved commercial success when it was first released in 1995, selling more than 1.5 million copies.[12] It ranked ninth among PC games in Nielsen's 1995 sales-per-rank list.[68] In the United States, it was one of the top ten selling titles in September 1995, being ranked at #7.[69] For the third month in a row, the game earned more than $1 million in sales,[70] and ranked as the eleventh-best selling computer game in that country.[71] The following month, the game dropped to the thirteenth spot and sold nearly 360,000 copies in the U.S., with most of the sales coming from retailers such as Circuit City, over a 5-day period.[72] As of January 2008, the game has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide.[73] The game was ported to the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox as part of the Turok: Dinosaur Hunter Trilogy, and has been released on various home and mobile video game consoles. The PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and GameCube versions were released in North America, Europe, Australia, and Japan.[74] A Nintendo 64 version was also in development, but was cancelled in the middle of the project.[75] The game has been re-released in both physical and digital formats on multiple platforms, including a version for the Xbox Live Arcade service. Since its initial release, the game has been made available through emulators to play on a variety of game consoles.[76] A remastered version of the game with updated graphics was released in November 2016. The Nintendo 3DS version was released in February 2017, and the Wii U version was released in July 2017.[77]
If you want to play the game legally, you will have to get the CD. While it is technically possible to make the game work without the CD, no such patches exist currently. A cracked version of the game exists though if you're willing to pay for it.
If you have the game, there is a way to turn the music off at the main menu. On the back of the game is a slide out slot. When the slot is slid open, a button appears and you can turn the music on or off. The only problem is that you'll have to play the game on the original disc to access this feature.
I'm just going to be straight about it. I have played the game on my Wii and it works fine. My biggest problem with the game is the music that plays when you choose your character. I could not stand the music even when I had never played the game before. I tried to look for information on the Internet about how to turn it off, but I could not find anything. 827ec27edc
