Skyrim Change Follower Distance

If your followers are blocking your way, you can move them using very simple menu controls. Also, if the distance of your followers is too far from you, you can make them come closer using the same menu. You can move NPCs to your front or their original location. You can be moved to a selected NPC. Also, you can resurrect dead NPCs. And more useful things.
You can interact with permanent followers by talking with them (outside of combat). You will then be able to exchange items with them, or give a command, depending on their abilities. You can also start commanding your follower quickly, even from some distance away, by pointing at them and holding the activate/use control.
Followers who are also trainers can train you for "free". They will still charge you, but leave profit from training in their inventory. Simply request to see their inventory while they are an active follower, and take your gold back from any training sessions. Note that the follower's gold will reset to a low amount when you fast travel (possibly change zone), so get your money back from them quickly.
You can now give your followers a brand new set of engagement rules and tactical preferences to better suit your playstyle!Accessed via a new option in the interaction wheel, you can now assign different behaviors to your thralls and pets. Divided into two sections (Engagement and Tactics), this will give you better control than ever on how your armies react to incoming threats. Please note that these new options are for your thralls and pets who are set as base defenses and not actively set as your follower (to see which new changes apply to active followers, you can skip a few sections and go straight to the new Follower Command System!)
The camera change doesn't affect me at all (Warrior), since I've played with the default "max" distance since forever. The full zoom out is way too much, in my opinion.Though I do sympathize with those who like it. Why remove a widely used thing? The reasoning was quite frankly stupid.
As someone who has used the console command to Max the zoom on every character I've ever played on I feel that this change is going to upset a huge number of players who use this zoom distance for several things including being able to see their character and their surroundings when dealing with huge raid bosses or areas like the old Obsidian Sanctum where without the extra zoom you couldn't see the lava walls or anything until it was to late.
I would support the camera change if it was not for the extremely negative experience tanks and melee dps can have with a boss that is several dozen times larger than they are completely blocking their view.As a person who mains Hunters and plays a lot of ranged classes, I strongly agree. I barely use the settings on such characters, but you bet I love having that 50 maxdistance when I play a tank or something.I would support the camera change if it was not for the extremely negative experience tanks and melee dps can have with a boss that is several dozen times larger than they are completely blocking their view. This is why they've added the character outline feature in the UI so you can see your character through all of the clutter no matter what.Character outlines can cause a pretty sizeable performance loss, for one (probably more than having a larger field of view). For another, that doesn't help much with immersion or gameplay in general if the melee are only capable of looking at a massive boss's legs.Edit: Also on the camera thing, Watcher's statements reek of doublethink considering he doesn't really criticize addons (and while there's been disabling in the past, there were default replacements or they were over the top like AVR) that are probably even more objectively helpful than a high camera zoom distance. In fact, instead of addressing possible issues there (which I'm sure Blizzard could do - they've broken addons on purpose in the past), they go after a relatively innocuous default, albeit hidden, interface option that could've been revealed like he said with the original max distance, which I'm certain not everyone will "need" to use, but it's nice to have anyways. 2b1af7f3a8
