Gaby: Hey everyone. It's Gaby. And the most interesting thing about the bears in the summer is that they're busier than any other time of year. Sometimes people will have seen local bears in the town that week, but this time of year will be twice as busy. Why? Because they're stocking up for the upcoming winter. There's a mom with a cub. And they'll set up camp, where there are lots of berries and some clover. They'll dig out most of the clover and leave all the berries. This gives them a lot of calories for the winter. As June continues, the summer comes to a close, and the bears get their rest before the winter months begin.

Gaby: Thanks for joining us today. Our dateline this week is Glacier National Park in Montana. Our producers are Michael, Gaby and Peri. This week's show comes to us from our temporary home, the Ted Swan Rock Rec Center.

Michael: We're looking at San Francisco. But it's not. It's Glacier National Park in Montana. It's also called the Crown of the Continent. Because it's the continental divide and the western and eastern halves of the states, which connected when the first wet inland came through. And it's the only national park on the western side of the continental divide. It's the youngest of the big mountain parks at just over 100 years old and spans a massive 10,000 square miles.
